UPDATE: Suspect identified as RCMP investigate indecent act at Kamloops thrift store

KAMLOOPS — (UPDATE June 13): Police in Kamloops say they’ve identified the suspect connected to an indecent act investigation a thrift store in the 900-block of Columbia Street West last month.

In an update, RCMP said they were able to identify the man in connection with the incident that happened around 11:30 a.m. Friday (May 29) morning. A woman had complained to police, saying the man was allegedly masturbating in the aisle near her.

“The Kamloops RCMP Detachment would like to extend thanks to the media and the public for assistance in identifying the suspect, in an indecent act investigation, that was the subject of a news release on June 10, 2026,” the June 12 statement said.

“We respectfully request his photo be removed from online sources at this time.”
