Power knocked out for Pineview Valley residents

KAMLOOPS — Nearly the entire Pineview Valley neighbourhood is without power Monday (June 1) morning. 

BC Hydro says power has been off for 889 customers west of Hugh Allan Drive and south of Hillside Drive at 10:39 a.m. Monday. The cause of the outage is under investigation. 

At around 10:30 a.m. Monday, Kamloops Fire Rescue reported over the scanner that a transformer blew in the nearby Costco west parking lot on Versatile Drive. 

A crew has been assigned to the outage.
