NorthPaws swept to open 2026 WCL season

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops NorthPaws didn’t start the 2026 West Coast League (WCL) season with home cooking. 

The NorthPaws were swept by the Corvallis Knights of Oregon in a three-game home series at Norbrock Stadium on opening weekend. Kamloops fell to the Knights 9-6 on Friday (May 29), 11-9 in extra innings (11) on Saturday and 14-6 on Sunday. 

The NorthPaws are 0-3 to start the 2026 WCL season. They sit at the bottom of the North Division standings early on. 

The NorthPaws begin a six-game U.S. road trip Tuesday (June 2) in Washington State when they take on the Ridgefield Raptors. Kamloops returns home Tuesday, June 9 to welcome the Port Angeles Lefties to Norbrock Stadium.
