UPDATE: River Forecast Centre downgrade alerts in Kamloops area

KAMLOOPS — UPDATE (May 31, 2026): The BC River Forecast Centre has downgraded a pair of alerts in the Kamloops area as water levels recede.

The North Thompson, which was on a flood watch alert on Saturday (May 30), has since been eased off to a high streamflow advisory as of Sunday (May 31).

The advisory includes tributaries around Blue River, Clearwater and surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, the high streamflow advisory in place for the South Thompson has ended.
