Milobar finishes 5th, Findlay elected BC Conservative leader

VANCOUVER — It lasted until the final ballot but Kerry Lynne-Findlay was elected the next leader of the BC Conservatives earning 51 per cent of the vote.

The BC Conservative Party, leadership hopefuls, legislative caucus and supporters all gathered Saturday (May 30) night down in Vancouver to announced the results on their months long leadership race.

The field eventually shrunk to five candidates Kerry Lynne-Findlay, Caroline Elliot, Iain Black, Yuri Fulmer and Kamloops-Centre MLA Peter Milobar.

Milobar was eliminated on the first ballot after securing just over 10 per cent of the vote. Fulmer was eliminated on the second ballot.
