ElevenLabs Licenses Stan Lee’s Voice, Likeness For AI Commercial Use

ElevenLabs announced on Wednesday that it secured rights to use Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee’s voice and likeness through a deal with Stan Lee Universe. The AI audio company will offer Lee’s voice and image in its Iconic Marketplace for commercial licensing alongside celebrities like Michael Caine and Judy Garland. Users can generate Lee’s likeness in comic book-style templates for non-commercial use or hear his voice narrate books through the Eleven Reader app. The voice was trained using professional recordings of Lee, who died in 2018 at age 95. ElevenLabs will launch “Stan Lee Book Club Of The Month,” starting with Treasure Island in June.
