VIBE Magazine Returns To Print After More Than A Decade
VIBE Magazine will relaunch print editions next week, ending its digital-only run that began over ten years ago. The first quarterly issue launches June 2nd online, featuring limited quantities of 1,000 copies. Quincy Jones founded VIBE in 1992 to showcase Black culture’s influence on music, fashion, and politics when mainstream media lacked such representation. The publication helped launch careers of artists including Snoop Dogg, Biggie, Mary J. Blige, and Tupac during its peak years. VIBE made history in 2007 as the first magazine to feature Barack Obama on its cover, asking “Ladies & Gentlemen, (Is This) The Next President of the United States?” The final print issue in 2014 showcased Drake and Kevin Hart. Now partnered with Rolling Stone as of 2025, VIBE will publish premium quarterly editions available at specialty newsstands and shop.rollingstone.com
