RCMP looking for witnesses in reported assault in Williams Lake
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — RCMP are searching for witnesses after an assault in Williams Lake last week.
On May 18, Williams Lake RCMP say officers were called to Cariboo Memorial Hospital after a patient arrived with a minor laceration. It’s believed the injury may have been the result of an assault.
The reported assault is believed to have occurred in the 700-block of Borland Street between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on May 18. While RCMP have identified some persons of interest, investigators are still looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the assault or has further information.
In a news release issued Friday (May 22), RCMP say the patient has since been released from hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
