UPDATE: Man taken to hospital after two-vehicle crash on Highway 1 in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — (UPDATE 1:15 p.m.): Westbound traffic along Highway 1 between Pacific Way and Copperhead Drive in Kamloops is flowing once again following a two-vehicle crash Saturday (May 23) morning.

Kamloops RCMP say a man who was driving a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle swerved into the trailer of a semi-truck around 9:00 a.m. Both vehicles were heading west.

Police say the driver of the Chevelle was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the semi-truck driver was uninjured.

“Kamloops RCMP would like to thank witnesses who reported seeing the Chevelle driving in an erratic manner just prior to the collision,” Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Joe Bayda said in a statement.
