Survey launched, open houses scheduled for forest landscape plan in Kamloops area
KAMLOOPS — Another survey from the province is making the rounds in the Kamloops area regarding forest management.
Officials with B.C.’s Ministry of Forests are inviting residents in the North and South Thompson regions, along with the Shuswap, area to participate in a survey and attend one of eight open houses – one being virtual – to help develop the Thompson River Watersheds Forest Landscape Plan.
Open houses include:
- Clearwater – Monday, June 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Dutch Lake Community Centre at 209 Dutch Lake Rd.
- Barriere – Tuesday, June 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; the Ridge Gym at 4936 Barriere Town Rd.
- Chase – Wednesday, June 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Chase Community Hall at 547 Shuswap Ave.
- Salmon Arm – Thursday, June 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Little Mountain Fieldhouse at 250 30 St. SE
- Kamloops – Tuesday, June 9 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Kia Lounge at Sandman Centre at 300 Lorne St.
- Ashcroft – Wednesday, June 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Ashcroft Community Hall at 409 Bancroft St.
