Kamloops building sector stays on record pace with $18M April
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops building sector cooled off slightly in April, but remains on a record pace, one-third of the way into 2026.
Building permit numbers published by the City of Kamloops show $18 million in permits issues in April, down marginally from the $18.4 million issued in the same month last year.
More than one-third of last month’s activity came from a single earthworks permit worth $6.85 million.
Even with the cooler April, the industry is running at nearly twice the pace of 2025.
