KAMLOOPS — For many families across B.C, accessing specialized medical care isn’t always as simple as booking an appointment. One organization is working to bridge that gap.

Today marks Hope Air’s 40th anniversary. Vanessa Worthington and her son Devon are two ambassadors set up in the community sharing the mission – a national charity that provides free transportation support for patients who need to travel for treatment.

“It’s available to everybody, and no matter young or old, you can use Hope Air to get you to a medical appointment out of town,” said Devon from the atrium at Royal Inland Hospital.

The program is especially important for families in communities like Kamloops, where specialized care isn’t always available locally.
