Nielsen data reveals U.S. viewers consumed 33 billion minutes of Star Wars content across streaming and linear TV in 2025, equivalent to 550 million hours. Films dominated viewing at 44.2%, followed by live-action shows at 38.9% and animated projects at 16.8%. A New Hope ranked as the most-watched title, with The Phantom Menace and Rogue One following. Andor led live-action series with 7.4 billion minutes, boosted by its second season release between April and May 2025. On May 4, 2025, fans streamed 637 million minutes of Star Wars content, with Andor topping that day’s viewing. Generational preferences varied: The Mandalorian appealed most to Gen Alpha and Baby Boomers, while Gen Z favored The Clone Wars, and Millennials plus Gen X preferred Andor. The viewing data was released yesterday to mark Star Wars Day, observed annually on May 4th (“May the fourth be with you”).
