Inventory growing on Kamloops real estate market

KAMLOOPS — New numbers from the Association of Interior Realtors (AIR) show a larger selection for prospective home-buyers in Kamloops.

Month-end numbers released Tuesday (May 5) show a fourth straight month of higher new listing and active listing totals.

AIR says 217 residential properties changed hands last month, up slightly from both March and from April of 2025.

The month ended with 544 new listings and 1,313 active listings on the market.

Even with the higher totals, AIR President Ryan Mayne says supply is still lower than expected.

“The Kamloops and District real estate market has maintained consistent stability over the past couple of years,” said Mayne. “While the recent accumulation of active listings signals improving supply in a traditionally constrained market,

supply remains on the lower side, which may be keeping buyers feeling a sense of urgency.”

The price of the benchmark single-family home was $664,400 in April, down $6,500 from the same month last year.
