KAMLOOPS — There will be rotating road closures in the area of Rogers Way and Highway 5A starting Monday (May 4) as BC Hydro crews perform maintenance work on their equipment in that part of Kamloops.

In a brief statement, the City of Kamloops says this work is expected to be done in about six week’s time on June 12.

“While this work is underway and to maintain the safety of the public and our crews, there will be rotating road closures associated with this project,” the city said. “Motorists can expect delays and detours.

This project coincides with a seven-week-long closure of First Avenue between Seymour Street and Victoria Street that began today, and is expected to last until June 19. There are detours in place as BC Hydro works on “critical” infrastructure repairs.
