Salmon Arm to begin Park Hill fuel mitigation work

SALMON ARM — The City of Salmon Arm will begin FireSmart fuel mitigation work at Park Hill on Monday (May 4).

The City said contractors will be completing the work with the goal of reducing wildfire risks and protecting the community, homes and infrastructure.

Work is set to begin on Monday and the public is asked to obey all posted signs in the area.

This work comes as B.C. is facing increased wildfire risks with unseasonably warm and dry conditions predicted to hit the province.
