Horror director Dylan Clark will helm a new Blair Witch Project reboot, with original stars Joshua Leonard and Michael C. Williams joining as executive producers. The new film will bring the franchise’s full mythology to a new generation, though plot details remain undisclosed. Williams and Leonard’s involvement marks a major shift after they previously felt blindsided by the announcement of the reboot in 2024. At the time, co-star Heather Donahue said “motherfu-kers” when describing the surprise announcement after no heads-up from Lionsgate. The original Blair Witch Project grossed $248 million despite its low budget, spawning multiple sequels.
