Wildfire reported west of 100 Mile House

UPDATE (April 28): The BCWS says the wildfire in the Dog Creek Dome area is being held at 50 hectares, meaning it is projected to remain within the current perimeter, control line or boundary.

EARLIER: 100 MILE HOUSE — The BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) is responding to a 50-hectare fire west of 100 Mile House in the Dog Creek Dome area.

The BCWS said the fire was reported on Sunday (April 26) and is believed to have been human caused.

The fire is currently burning out of control, with the BCWS responding with firefighting personnel from the ground as well as helicopter and aircraft support.
