CHASE, B.C. — RCMP in Chase are acknowledging unknown Good Samaritans who helped ensure a positive outcome for two people involved in a car crash last month.

Shortly before 4:00 p.m. on March 27, officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle incident on the 7000 block of the Trans-Canada Highway outside of Chase.

According to Chase RCMP, a witness reported seeing a vehicle go off an embankment. Officers found a white Chevrolet Equinox overturned on its roof on the south side of the highway, nearly 30 feet down the embankment.

In a news release issued Sunday (April 26), RCMP say officers noted light smoke although there was no active fire, saying the small vehicle fire had been extinguished prior to their arrival.
