Wildfire Service holding human-caused wildfire northwest of Clinton

CLINTON, B.C. — The BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) is holding back a human-caused wildfire northwest of Clinton, near Marble Range Provincial Park.
BCWS officials said the wildfire sparked on Thursday (Apr 23) and wildfire fighters are keeping the blaze held at 1.1 hectares.
The fire sparked the same day the BCWS announced a ban on Category 2 and 3 burns in the Cariboo Fire Centre.
While the fire was lit by humans, the BCWS has not specified the exact cause.
