Hulk Hogan Used Lethal Amounts Of Fentanyl During TNA Wrestling Stint
Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan disclosed taking life-threatening amounts of fentanyl daily to manage severe physical pain during his TNA Wrestling tenure following his 2009 divorce from Linda Hogan. In Netflix’s Hulk Hogan: Real American docuseries, his final interview before dying from a heart attack in July 2025, Hogan revealed joining TNA after giving “everything” to Linda in their divorce settlement. Unable to compete at contracted levels due to pain, Hogan turned to opioids. “I was taking 80-milligram fentanyls, two in the morning, stuffing them under my gums,” Hogan explained. He also wore two 300mg fentanyl patches on his legs and consumed six 1500mg fentanyl lollipops daily. A pharmacist told him, “You should be dead. We have never seen a human being take this much fentanyl.” The pain forced Hogan to sleep in chairs, saying any movement caused his back to spasm.
