Coquihalla back open after lengthy Tuesday closure

MERRITT, B.C. — The Coquihalla Highway is fully open today after a lengthy closure yesterday.
Monday night, a semi truck burst into flames near Comstock Road, with the flames briefly spreading to the nearby forest.
The northbound lanes were shut down between Merritt and Hope for most of the day yesterday as crews cleaned up hazardous material on the highway.
The lanes were reopened around 7:00 p.m.
