Tom Hooper will direct Millie Bobby Brown in Netflix’s film of Nineteen Steps, based on the bestselling novel Brown co-wrote with Kathleen McGurl. Alex Garland’s live-action adaptation of the hit video game Elden Ring is set for release on March 3, 2028. The production is being filmed for IMAX and is now in active production. The 32nd annual Critics Choice Awards will be held Sunday, January 3, 2027, at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The ceremony will air live on E! and USA Network from 7–10 p.m. ET and 4–7 p.m. PT. Producer/director Frank Marshall (Back To The Future, Indiana Jones film) says ESPN2 pulled his documentary Rachel, Breathe an hour before its scheduled Sunday broadcast due to a rights dispute. Rif Hutton, the actor best known for his work on Doogie Howser, M.D., JAG, and General Hospital, died April 18th at his Pasadena home after a yearlong battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer. Ryan Phillippe will join ABC’s 9-1-1: Nashville as a new series regular for Season 2. He has reportedly signed a multi-year deal to play a sharp, unconventional detective who relocates from New York to Nashville. HGTV’s Renovation Aloha hosts Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama are facing four counts related to broadcasting ancient Native Hawaiian burial remains discovered in a Hilo cave during December filming.
