Lana Del Rey Creates James Bond Theme Song For ‘First Light’ Video Game

Lana Del Rey surprise-released “First Light” Thursday, a new theme song for the upcoming James Bond video game of the same name. The track, created with veteran Bond film composer David Arnold, features Del Rey singing over drums, bass and strings before building to a cinematic brass crescendo. “Can’t say I’m surprised to see you running towards the sun/ Like a moth to a flame,” she croons, with lyrics referencing playing “your life like a game.” The 007 First Light game launches in May. Del Rey’s contribution joins the extensive Bond musical canon, following acclaimed songs by Billie Eilish and Finneas, Adele, Paul McCartney, and Madonna.
