UPDATE: Missing Kamloops senior and her dog found safe

KAMLOOPS — UPDATE (April 19): An 81-year-old woman who was reported missing on Friday, April 17, has been found safe.

In an update Sunday evening, BC RCMP say the woman and her dog were found on a forest service road in a rural area outside of Kamloops on Sunday, with help from the RCMP’s Air 4 helicopter.

“The woman has been taken to hospital for assessment, but both she and her dog have been reunited with family,” the RCMP statement said.
