Chase Heat president Adamson talks splitting from KIJHL, joining new league

CHASE, B.C. — The Chase Heat are among eight teams who split from the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League and Hockey Canada.

Chase, 100 Mile House, Castlegar, Creston Valley, Golden, Kelowna, Sicamous and Spokane have formed an independent circuit – the Western International Junior Hockey League.

Heat president Darryl Adamson spoke to CFJC Today about his reasoning for splitting from the KIJHL.
