Distraught woman dodging downtown Kamloops traffic had been assaulted: RCMP
KAMLOOPS — RCMP say a distraught woman found wandering in downtown Kamloops traffic during the Tuesday morning (April 14) commute appears to have been the victim of an assault.
Officers were called to the 400-block of Victoria Street West just before 8:00 a.m. with the report stating a woman was in traffic, trying to get vehicles to stop.
“A driver pulled over to call the police,” said Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dana Napier “Once the driver was pulled over, she was able to get more information from the woman who appeared to require police assistance.”
Napier says the investigator was told the woman had been assaulted.
