KAMLOOPS — Kamloops curlers have been active in free agency.

On the women’s side, three former Team Brown members – Erin Pincott, Samantha Fisher and Sarah Koltun – are on the move.

Pincott will curl next season with Winnipeg-based Team Njegovan, which includes skip Selena Njegovan, third Pincott, second Margot Flemming and lead Krysten Karwacki.

Fisher and Koltun have joined Calgary-based Team Skrlik, which includes lead Fisher, second Koltun, third Myla Plett and skip Kayla Skrlik.

On the men’s side, Matt Dunstone of Kamloops (Pincott’s significant other) skips a Winnipeg-based team – the reigning Brier champions – that on Monday (April 13) announced the addition of Mark Nichols.

Olympic gold medallist Nichols, formerly third for Team Gushue, will play second for Dunstone, with Colton Lott at third and Ryan Harnden at lead.

Meanwhile, Jared Kolomaya (Fisher’s significant other) has joined a Vernon-based team that will be skipped by Jim Cotter.

The rink includes skip Cotter (who is from Kamloops but lives in Vernon), third Kolomaya, second Connor Deane and lead Erik Colwell.

Kolomaya won the B.C. Men’s Curling Championship last season with Team Cody Tanaka, which also included Mitchell Kopytko and Coburn Fadden of Kamloops.

Kopytko and Fadden are working together to form a new Interior-based team for the 2026-2027 campaign, according to Fadden.
