KAMLOOPS — Final preparations are underway for the 2026 outdoor season of the Kamloops Farmers’ Market, which starts next Saturday, April 18.

The Saturday Farmers’ Market runs between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the 200 block of St Paul Street downtown and the Stuart Wood schoolyard. It’ll be held every Saturday until Oct. 31.

The Wednesday market will begin on May 6, and run 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Victoria Street until Oct. 28. The weekday market will begin on the sidewalk in front of the TNRD building for the first few weeks before moving onto the street in mid-to-late June.

“We anticipate a solid showing in all of our major vendor categories – Farmers, Prepared Food, Artisans and Crafters,” a statement from the Kamloops Farmers’ Market Society said. “All products are made, baked or grown by our vendors within B.C., the majority within a 100 km radius of Kamloops.”

“As well, to help kick off the season and to celebrate World Heritage Day [April 18], the Kamloops Museum and Archives and the Kamloops Art Gallery are offering a free activity at the Museum of colourizing food and agricultural themed historic photos. “

The bike valet will also be returning for the Saturday market this year. It’s the third year for the program in Kamloops, and the second year with a dedicated offering for the Saturday Farmers’ Market.

“We are excited that the City of Kamloops will again be sponsoring bike valet service at the Saturday market for the outdoor season,” the Kamloops Farmers’ Market Society added. “When construction makes it hard to get around by car, there will still be a safe and secure alternative for cyclists.”
