Tiger Woods Officially Charged With DUI Following Florida Crash
Tiger Woods has been officially charged with driving under the influence and refusing chemical testing following his March 27th rollover crash in Florida. TMZ reports that both misdemeanor charges were filed Tuesday in connection with the incident where Woods sped down a street, clipped a pickup truck entering a driveway, and rolled his Range Rover. Officers reported Woods showed “severe signs of impairment” at the scene and discovered two hydrocodone pills in his pocket during arrest. The golfer refused to take chemical or physical tests of his breath or urine. Following the crash, Woods announced he was seeking treatment, stating “I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today.” Florida prosecutors reportedly plan a sweeping subpoena of Woods’ prescription drug records, particularly any warnings against operating vehicles while taking prescriptions.
