Cameron Diaz is set to headline a sequel to the 1989 comedy Troop Beverly Hills. Clea DuVall will direct and write the film. The original Troop Beverly Hills, directed by Jeff Kanew and starring Shelley Long, followed a Beverly Hills mother leading a Wilderness Girls troop. Judge Greg Mathis and his wife, Linda Reese Mathis, have officially decided not to get divorced. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Linda filed a request on Monday to dismiss the case without prejudice, and the clerk confirmed the dismissal the next day. Linda first filed for divorce in 2024 after separating from the TV judge in July. Story URL

Gen Z audiences are now the most frequent moviegoers, according to a new study. The survey of 7,000 adults found that 87% of Gen Z and 82% of millennials saw at least one film in theaters in the past year, compared with 70% of Gen Xers and 58% of baby boomers. Both younger groups averaged about seven visits annually, outpacing older generations. Story URL

Netflix has approved Extraction 3, reuniting Chris Hemsworth and Idris Elba in the action franchise. Sam Hargrave will again direct. Netflix has not revealed the plot. The first film, released in 2020, followed Hemsworth as mercenary Tyler Rake on a dangerous rescue mission. The sequel continued his story as he freed a gangster’s family from prison. Story URL

Olivia Munn says an unnamed male costar once stopped production for 45 minutes after discovering her character would save his life in a scene. She was supposed to shoot an attacker approaching him from behind. He became combative with the director, declaring “She can’t save me!
