KELOWNA — Four manufacturing businesses in British Columbia are being given a total of $6.75 million to help expand their production, while creating more than 100 jobs.

B.C. Premier David Eby was in Kelowna to make the announcement on Wednesday, and says the funding will facilitate another $60 million or more in private capital investment by the firms.

The funding will go to Mako Wood Furniture to build a new facility in Merritt, Goodway Homes for a new manufacturing site in Malakwa, the Dinoflex Group to upgrade its Salmon Arm site and to Kinetic Custom Trailers to expand its operation in Penticton.

The investment is part of the provincial Look West plan for jobs and industry and comes through the BC Manufacturing Jobs Fund.
