KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say three people were arrested after a large and somewhat noticeable police presence along Ord Road on Friday (April 3) afternoon.

RCMP officers responded to the 1700-block of Ord Road at around 1:10 p.m. that day following reports of a woman who reportedly ran into a house with a gun. A stretch of Ord Road was temporarily blocked off and some nearby residents were evacuated from their homes as a precaution.

“Kamloops frontline police along with the Emergency Response Team were able to safely arrest two males and one females,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dana Napier said. “The female was held in custody on outstanding warrants and the two males were later released without charges”
