Savannah Guthrie returned to NBC’s Today on Monday, while her mother Nancy remains missing since February 1st. “It is good to be home. Ready or not, let’s do the news,” Guthrie said, diving straight into coverage without addressing the ongoing investigation. Co-anchor Craig Melvin welcomed her back, saying “So good to have you home.” Guthrie became emotional when fans in the plaza held welcome signs, including one with her mother’s photo. “You guys have been so beautiful. I’ve received so many letters, so much kindness,” she said fighting tears. Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Tucson home with Pima County Sheriff’s Department calling it a presumed kidnapping after finding concerning evidence. The FBI joined the search with rewards reaching $1 million. No arrests or suspects have been announced.
