SALMON ARM, B.C. — Up to $10,000 worth of cocaine was seized after Salmon Arm RCMP arrested a man in a hotel room.

At around 7:30 p.m. on March 20, Salmon Arm RCMP say officers were told by a complainant that they heard groaning and screaming from the hotel room. After no one answered the door, police say hotel staff provided a room key so officers could carry out a wellness check on the guest.

RCMP say a 43-year-old man was seen profusely sweating and apparently under the influence of drugs. The man eventually admitted that he had some cocaine.

Officers noted large sums of cash, small “dime” zip lock bags and a large Tupperware container in the hotel room.
