City accepting applications for 2026 Canada Day festivities at Riverside Park

KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops has begun accepting applications from community groups and approved food trucks that want to be a part of Canada Day festivities this July 1.

Preparations are underway for the annual event which attracts thousands of people to Riverside Park each year.

“In a collaborative effort with the Kamloops Arts Council and the Kamloops Multicultural Society, the City is inviting community groups to be an integral part of the festivities,” a statement from the City of Kamloops said.

“Community groups and organizations that offer engaging, interactive, and creative activities promoting community spirit are encouraged to apply.”

Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on May 1, and the city notes interested food truck operators are required to have a valid business licence and be approved to operate in Kamloops. Application forms and other details can be found here.

The Kamloops Multicultural Society will once again organize the multicultural food vendor booths, while the Kamloops Arts Council will handle applications from artists who want to participate in Art in the Park.

Canada Day festivities in Kamloops will also feature various musical and dance performances and other events at Riverside Park. Those details will be released in due course here.
