Road, sidewalk closures expected as CPKC crews work on First Avenue overpass

KAMLOOPS — People in downtown Kamloops are being notified about some work that will be done on the First Avenue/Lorne Street railway overpass this Easter long weekend.
Canadian Pacific Kansas City crews will be working this Friday to Sunday (April 3 to 5). They’re expected to be present between 4:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on each of the three days, and according to the City of Kamloops, there will be precautionary road and sidewalk closures due to the possibility of falling debris.
“Please follow the detour signage and traffic control personnel,” the city said in a social media post. “Thank you for your patience and co-operation.”
