Unlucky 13: 100 Mile House emergency department to close temporarily Thursday

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — Heading into the Easter long weekend, residents of the 100 Mile House area are being alerted to another emergency room closure.

Interior Health says the emergency department at 100 Mile District General Hospital will close at 7:00 a.m. Thursday (April 2) and is scheduled to reopen at 8:00 p.m.

IH does not list a reason for the closure nor speak of any further closures planned over the Easter weekend.

Anyone who requires emergency medical care is advised to call 9-1-1 or visit the emergency department at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake.

This is the 100 Mile emergency room’s 13th closure so far in 2026.
