Himesh Patel Joins Ryan Coogler’s ‘X-Files’ Reboot Pilot At Hulu

Himesh Patel will star alongside Danielle Deadwyler in Ryan Coogler’s X-Files reboot pilot at Hulu. The show follows two decorated but different FBI agents who form an unlikely bond investigating unexplained phenomena cases. Deadwyler and Patel play entirely new characters, not updated versions of Mulder and Scully. The actors previously worked together on HBO Max’s Station Eleven, where Patel earned an Emmy nomination. His other credits include Avenue 5, The Franchise, Yesterday, and Tenet. He will appear in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming The Odyssey. Coogler writes, directs, and executive produces along with original creator Chris Carter. This marks the first X-Files reboot, though Fox revived the series in 2016 and 2018 with original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. (Story URL)
