Netflix is developing a scripted polo drama series with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s company. The former royals will executive produce the series written by Francisca X. Hu, known for Warrior and Monarch. The drama focuses on rivalry between two teams in Wellington, Florida’s upscale equestrian community. This announcement comes after Netflix downgraded the couple’s overall deal to a first-look arrangement and ended its partnership with Markle’s lifestyle brand As Ever. Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria dismissed reports of a “falling out” with the couple, stating “don’t believe whatever you read” and confirming ongoing projects in development.
