NSYNC’s Joey Fatone is executive producing Boy Band Confidential, a new Investigation Discovery documentary series examining the harmful aspects of the 1990s boy band phenomenon. The two-part series premieres April 13 and 14, featuring interviews with Lance Bass from NSYNC, AJ McLean from Backstreet Boys, and Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men. “Being in a boy band was one of the greatest experiences of my life — but it also came with challenges we didn’t always understand at the time,” Fatone stated. ID describes the series as exposing “the secret machinery of manufactured superstardom and the devastating human cost of the era’s glossy perfection.” The series follows ID’s success with Quiet on Set, which explored toxic environments in Nickelodeon television productions. Story URL
