100 Mile House emergency department to close for most of the day Friday
100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — For the seventh time in 2026 and fifth time within the last four weeks, emergency services will be unavailable in 100 Mile House.
Interior Health says the emergency room at the 100 Mile House District General Hospital will be closed between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday (March 3). Residents in the area who need emergency care are being told to head to Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake during the 13-hour closure.
In total, the emergency department will be unavailable for 103 hours this year.
As has been the case for previous emergency room closures, Interior Health says people should call 9-1-1 if they need emergency care, or HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 if they aren’t sure if they need to head to the emergency room.
