Storm forward Nicholas Clark named KIJHL rookie of the week
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Storm forward Nicholas Clark has been named the KIJHL’s rookie of the week for the first week of the 2025-26 playoffs.
The Calgary native scored twice and added two assists in the Storm’s first two playoff games against the Chase Heat on March 6 and 7.
In Game 1 against the Heat Friday, Clark scored the Storm’s insurance goal and added an assist in a 4-1 win at McArthur Island. The next evening, he set up the goal that put the Storm ahead 2-1, and then scored the eventual winner in a 6-3 final.
“He’s been a steady, solid player all season and it’s no surprise that it’s continued,” Storm head coach Andrew Fisher said in a statement via the KIJHL. “Their line is playing hard, he’s doing the little things right and going to the tough areas and he’s getting rewarded for it.”
