KAMLOOPS — Kamloops council will soon hear from the public on the future of the Pathways shelter on the North Shore. During Tuesday’s (March 10) regular meeting, council voted 7-1 in favour of distributing a notice of intent to consider a three-year extension for the temporary use permit for the access hub.

Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson was the sole vote in opposition of moving the proposal to public input, while Councillor Mike O’Reilly declared a conflict and did not vote on the matter.

Michael Reeve brings us more on the decision along with Deputy Mayor Stephen Karpuk.
