The little we know about Canadian troops stationed in the Middle East
OTTAWA — The military has provided a breakdown of the number of Canadian troops in the Middle East as experts question the government’s claim it has played no role in the American attack on Iran.
Here’s what we know about Canada’s involvement in the war launched this past weekend by U.S. President Donald Trump.
1) ‘Some’ troops in the region
When asked Tuesday, Defence Minister David McGuinty would only say there are “some” Canadian military personnel in the Middle East and insisted they are “out of harm’s way.”
