Police looking for missing 67-year-old Williams Lake man

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Police in Williams Lake are asking for help in locating a missing 67-year-old man, who has not been seen at his house for about one week.

Police say Michael John Taylor was last contacted two weeks ago on Feb. 13. The also say Taylor did not attend a court hearing on Feb. 18, and police believe he has no known associates or relatives in the area.

According to the RCMP, Taylor lives in the 6500-block on Highway 97 in Williams Lake, and there was a request for a wellness check made on Friday (Feb. 27) this week.

“Michael left his medication, his vehicle, a 2018 white Hyundai Elantra, car keys, room keys, and his cell phone in his room,” a statement from Williams Lake RCMP said. “There was no evidence of foul play located at his residence; however, police are concerned for his health and well-being.”

Michael Taylor is described as a white man, standing five-foot-eight, weighing approximately 150 lbs or 68 kg. He has receding black/grey hair, hazel eyes, and a full black/grey beard.
