‘GOAT’ Beats ‘Wuthering Heights’ In Close Box Office Race During Quiet Weekend

Animated film GOAT claimed the top box office spot with $17 million, narrowly defeating Wuthering Heights which earned $14.2 million. The family-friendly movie about an animal dreaming of athletic greatness dropped only 36% from its debut last week, while the gothic romance starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi fell 57%. The faith-based sequel I Can Only Imagine 2 took third place with $8 million, which is significantly behind its predecessor’s $17 million opening. Crime 101 came in fourth in its sophomore outing with $6.2 million, while Sam Raimi’s desert island thriller Send Help earned $4.5 million to round out the top five.
