KAMLOOPS — A mineral exploration company based in northwestern B.C. says it has confirmed the presence of high-grade gold-copper on a mining property within the Kamloops Mining Division.

Decade Resources announced Monday (Feb. 23) that it has received assay results from sampling at the Bonaparte Copper-Gold site nearly 50 kilometres north of Kamloops in October 2025.

The company based out of Stewart, B.C. says it sent 71 grab samples for assaying. Decade says gold assays ranged from 0.001 to 122.1 g/t gold and 0.006 to 2.28 per cent copper.

“As [Decade] continues compiling all the historic data, it is anticipated that this will aid the designing and [completion] of drill programs across multiple high-priority gold and copper targets,” Decade President Ed Kruchkowski said in a news release issued Monday. “[Decade]y feels that historic work basically concentrated on the Discovery Zone area, which represents an area 300 metres wide and 250 metres long in the [northwest] corner of the claims, and did not explore other compelling targets.”

Decade acquired the rights to earn an 80 per cent undivided interest in three mineral claims at the near 2,970-hectare piece of land. The optionor of the property was described as an arms-length party to Decade in a news release issued in October 2025.

The latest announcement comes two weeks after Decade announced that drilling will commence at the Bonaparte Copper-Gold site once permits are in place and weather conditions allow.

Kruchkowski adds that Decade is planning a multi-phase program, including drilling, silt and soil sampling and further geophysics.
