Criminal offences up in Kamloops last year, but down from years prior
KAMLOOPS — Criminal offences in Kamloops were up on year-over-year basis last year. However, the number of offences in 2025 is still down from earlier in the decade.
According to the latest numbers being presented to Kamloops council on Tuesday (Feb. 24), the Kamloops RCMP detachment is reporting 13,392 Criminal Code offences in 2025. It’s an increase of five per cent from the 12,705 offences in 2024, but down from 15,131 in 2023 and 15,736 in 2022.

In total, the Kamloops RCMP’s year-end report for 2025 shows 43,447 files were reported, an increase of one per cent year-over-year. Similarly, the 2025 figure is down from 46,237 in 2023 and 46,960 in 2022.
