Dana Eden, co-creator of Apple TV’s Israeli spy series Tehran, was found dead Sunday in her Athens hotel room at age 52. The producer was in Greece overseeing filming of the show’s fourth season when her brother discovered her body. Greek police said evidence appeared to rule out foul play. Eden’s production company strongly denied murder rumors, calling them “not true and not grounded.” Tehran, which follows an Israeli spy on a deep-cover mission in Iran, won a 2021 International Emmy for Best Drama and features stars like Glenn Close and Hugh Laurie. “I think it gives hope for the future,” Eden said accepting the Emmy, highlighting the show’s Iranian-Israeli crew collaborations. “I hope that we can walk together, the Iranians and the Israelis, in Jerusalem and in Tehran as friends and not as enemies.”
